About the webinar

False Alerts can happen for SO MANY reasons! Putting the wrong "solution" in place can set you back even more. Learn the WHY and WHAT! There is little more frustrating in competition detection than getting a False Alert. And as good handlers, we want to fix things! The problem is that if you fix the wrong thing, you can actually make your problem even worse. Not every dog is an individual, but there are so many potential causes for the same problem! And how do you know if there even IS a problem? In this webinar, we will talk about common false-alert problems and then get into how we might identify the problem... and what to do about it. This webinar is meant to help you problem-solve and have direction. We will talk about common solutions that you can try (this webinar is not a deep dive into How To, but rather an opportunity to make sure you don't do the wrong thing and make your situation much worse!) In this webinar, some of what we will talk about will be: - How do you know if you actually have a problem? And that it wasn't a hide (or a judging) issue? - How can you tell if a false alert is YOUR fault? - How can you tell if it's actually a training hole? - How can the dog's drive levels, previous experience, genetics, thought processes, and searching behaviors contribute to the false alert? - What are some of the things we can do to fix the issue in a way that can be tailored to the dog?
