About the webinar
Let’s talk about how to develop and stick to your training plan. That means HOW to break searching skills into small enough pieces to help your dog improve without frustration and without being a “lumper.” Nosework isn’t some kind of mystical woo-woo training. Yes, the hide trains the dog, which means we need to be smart about how we build skills! At the same time, we need to make the right training decisions for our dogs and our goals. Training with the end in mind keeps you honest and keeps you from just patching up holes for your next trial. Remember: Training is Training and Trialing is Testing! Learn how to keep yourself from falling into the abyss of training to trial. This is just SOME of what we cover: What is “lumping” in nosework, and how can we tell if we’re guilty? How DO you break down skills when odor rules? Why shouldn’t we focus on training trial skills? What are some example training progressions? Includes a downloadable handout with a summary, checklist, training log and more, so you can build your training plan and log your progress all year long. This webinar is perfect for competitors who practice outside of class and have aspirations for excellence!
