About the webinar

If you’re like me and have a short attention span but want ALL the information, this format is for you. In this MINI WEBINAR (about an hour with Q&A), we cover how to prep for a nosework or scent work trial. Trialing is different than training, so it takes doing different things to be most successful. I share what I do with my dogs in the days leading up to a trial and cover the WHYs, WHENs, and WHATs so you can plan YOUR approach to trial preparation. Specifically: Why your normal training setups won’t help your trial performance How to assess WHAT you need to focus on (guess what, it isn’t skill based!) How to bolster your foundations so you show up with a well-primed dog at any level How frequently you should train in the week leading up to a trial Pairing food with hides is often used, but this webinar covers other techniques and approaches. If you like to pair, great, this gives you more tools! If you don’t like to pair, great, this gives you more tools! Includes a downloadable handout with a summary, checklist, training log and more, so your trial-prep plan is ready to go for the week before your next trial.
