About the webinar

What does it mean to “Go back to Foundations”? What ARE the Foundations exactly, and how can we use them to diagnose and train? The Foundations of Nosework form a thread that connects the basic qualities of a dog and handler team to every facet of how that team works and performs, from the start all the way through the upper levels. In this webinar, we walk through the Foundations and then apply the framework to common training challenges. This webinar is about understanding and evaluation. Specific talking points: What ARE the Foundations? What does “good” look like? Every dog is an individual, so you have to customize your training for THAT dog. When you train your dogs the same and only one of them has issues, what causes that? Example diagnostics showing how upper-level problems all connect to Foundations Includes a downloadable handout with a summary, checklist, training log and more, so you can evaluate your own dog’s Foundations and track what you work on.
